The 14th night 十四 of Chinese New Year spelt an unexpected mini celebration during Monday class’s lesson. A fellow student, Susan, bought a DELI-looking platter of Yu Sheng 鱼生 and cajoled Laoshi, Ms Jasmine Koh, and the class to “Lo Hei” for a bountiful year ahead. Thank you Susan (:

招财进宝 (zhao cai jin bao) – May wealth and riches roll into the family

遍地黄金 (bian di huang jin) – May one easily seek the land of gold and strike rich
